Today was a great show! I had the opportunity to sit down with authors David Whiteis and Rosalind Cummings-Yeates to discuss some of their Blues Literature as well as their perspective on which direction the Blues is going for the year 2017. Additionally, we also heard from Valarie Kent who announced the release of her book that she wrote about her dad, the late great Blues Bassist, Willie Kent. Moreover, Linda Walker from Mississippi called to tell us about the “Prince of Delta Blues” Keith Johnson and how he is looking for support to fund his first recording project.
