On today’s episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with Blues Legend and UIC Alumnus, Billy Branch. Billy (or Uncle Billy as I know him) was the first musician that I met on the Blues scene. He has been a mentor to me since I was a young child. During the show, we mainly talked about his career, upbringing, and experience on the Blues scene. I will be bringing him back on the show again soon.
Also, I would like to congratulate Bobby Rush on winning a Grammy Award last night. I was honored with the opportunity to interview him on my show a couple months ago. For someone who has released 374 recordings and been on the road for over 60 years, a Grammy Award is long overdue.
