On this episode of Blues and News, I had the pleasure of interviewing Blues Artists: Wayne Baker Brooks (Son of the Legendary Lonnie Brooks), Freddie Dixon (Son of the Legendary Willie Dixon), and Joseph Morganfield (Son of the Legendary Muddy Waters). Additionally, we heard from Ivy Ahmed and Lynn Orman Weiss who have helped coordinate a music tour featuring Blues Musicians for Prostate Cancer Awareness through a great organization, PCa Blue Inc. (http://www.PCaBlue.org).
During the interview, Wayne, Freddie, and Joseph discussed some of their experiences growing up as the descendants of legendary Bluesmen, their involvement with PCa Blue Inc. and the Sons and Daughters of the Blues Show which took place at Buddy Guy’s Legends on Monday, September 18th.
Below is a playlist from the show:
Never Make a Move Too Soon – B.B. King
Got My Mojo Working – Muddy Waters
Tricks Up My Sleeve – Wayne Baker Brooks
Hoochie Coochie Man – The Original Chicago Blues All Stars (Freddie Dixon on Lead Vocals)
